French drainage system and full turf relay
A back-garden rescue where the previous contractor had laid half the turf straight onto roof membrane and left a water-table problem. We put in a full French drainage system, lifted everything, and laid new topsoil and turf.
The customer called us in to look at a recently finished garden they were unhappy with. On inspection it was clear there was a water-table problem under the lawn, and when we lifted the turf we found half of it had been laid straight onto roof membrane. We installed a full French drainage system to deal with the groundwater, then stripped the garden right back, brought in fresh topsoil, levelled it properly, and laid new turf across the full lawn. The finished result is a clean, even garden that drains the way it should.
